We lost our heart to the Indonesian archipelago. The many beautiful cultures on the different islands, the breathtaking nature, the wonderful beaches and tasty food make us already feel homesick when flying back to the Netherlands. We would love to share our experiences with you.

We are Merapi Tour & Travel, a Dutch tour operator specialised in tours in Indonesia. We know Indonesia inside out and would like to give you a taste of the archipelago, both literally and figuratively. Our tours will bring you in contact with the local people, let you experience their culture, bring you to the most beautiful places, without skipping the famous highlights. Vera, Priscilla, Monique, Jan and Flip will be happy to help you create your trip. We'll also tell you about the dense traffic on West Java, the calling mosques at 5 AM, plastic litter, tips, customs and other things you need to know.

Indonesië familiereizen

Speciaal voor families met kinderen hebben we een selectie gemaakt van voorbeeld-rondreizen en bouwstenen. De reizen zijn in een rustig tempo, zitten vol avontuur en brengen de jeugd in contact met de Indonesische leeftijdsgenoten. Waar mogelijk wordt overnacht in een hotel met zwembad en zijn er óf familiekamers, óf kamers naast elkaar met een verbindingsdeur.

21 dagen Molukken groepsreis

Vertrek op 19 oktober 2024, vertrek bij 4 of meer deelnemers, maximum 10 deelnemers.

De Molukken staan weer op de kaart en Merapi neemt u er graag mee naartoe.
Deze reis brengt u naar verschillende dorpen op het eiland Ambon, we bezoeken het eiland Saparua, we onthaasten op het prachtige en ongerepte Seram en genieten een kleine week van historie, cultuur en natuur op de Banda eilanden.
We bezoeken plaatsen waar niet veel toeristen komen maar waar van alles te zien is. De reis heeft veel historische en culturele aspecten. U verblijft in nette middenklasse hotels en wordt goed begeleid door uw gidsen.

Culinaire rendang tour naar Sumatra

Dit jaar nemen Maureen en Merapi u graag mee naar de Sumatraanse keuken. De reis gaat van Padang in het westen naar Medan en Pulau Weh in het noorden. In Padang en bij Bukittinggi haakt een bijzondere gast aan: Reno Andam Suri is behalve culinair adviseur de auteur van het prijswinnende boek "Rendang Minang Legacy to the world". Samen met haar ontdekt u de echte Minangkabau rendang, de bekende rundvleesschotel. Naast deelname aan een aantal kookworkshops neemt Maureen u mee naar de lekkerste Rumah Makan en warungs om de Sumatraanse smaak te proeven.
Behalve culinair kunt u verder genieten van cultuur, historie en natuur. De route gaat van Padang naar Bukittinggi en de Harau vallei naar het Tobameer, de jungle in het Gunung Leuser nationaal park, de stad Medan en eindigt op het bounty-eiland Pulau Weh.
De reis duurt 3 weken met vertrek op 21 september en terug op Schiphol op11 oktober.
