Gorontalo is located between Central and North Sulawesi. The city lies on the southern coast and offers several resorts from which diving and snorkeling excursions (including whale sharks!) as well as jungle treks are organized.
Gorontalo has daily flights to and from Jakarta and Makassar, and several flights per week to Palu and Manado.
There is also a (night) boat service to the Togean Islands twice a week.
