Tour module 4 days Gili Air from Bali

This short roundtrip takes you to the relaxed island of Gili Air. For most tourists, the Gilis mainly mean snorkeling or diving, relaxing and enjoying the beach bars.

Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan are located on the northwest coast of Lombok of which Gili Meno is the quietest island and is mainly visited by honeymooners. Gili Air is already a bit busier than Gili Meno and on Gili Trawangan the nightlife is noisy in addition to the tranquility in the north.

The Gili islands are easy to reach from south and east Bali. Several fast boats sail to the Gili islands in about 2 to 3 hours every day. From Lombok you will be transferred to the Bangsal harbor to sail to Gili Trawangan in about half an hour.

There is no motorized traffic on any of the Gili Islands.

Vanaf 14 februari 2024 moeten internationale reizigers die naar Bali reizen toeristenbelasting betalen. De kosten zijn 150.000 Indonesische roepia (IDR) per persoon (ong. 9 euro). De toeristenbelasting geldt als je vanuit een ander land rechtstreeks naar Bali vliegt, en ook wanneer je vanuit een andere provincie in Indonesië naar Bali reist. De belasting kan digitaal betaald worden via de website LoveBali (informatie in het Engels). Het is sterk aan te raden voorafgaand aan het vertrek naar Bali de belasting te voldoen.

Dag 1 Met de fastboat van Bali naar Gili Asahan

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the port of Padangbai or Serangan from where the boat departs. You will sail to Gili Air in 2 to 3 hours with the Blue Water Express fastboat. Upon arrival, walk to your hotel or take the local transport, the cidomo (horse and carriage). Prices of the cidomo are indicated at the jetty on a large sign with the names of the hotels and also with the price to make a tour of the island. You have the rest of the afternoon to relax. 3 nights at Gili Air.

Dag 2 Snorkelen, duiken of relaxen

All day at leisure. Enjoy the sun, sea and beach. Make a snorkel or diving excursion today. You can make a reservation a day in advance at your hotel or at one of the excursion shops. Maps are available in the hotels where the best snorkeling locations can be found.

Dag 3 Vrije dag op Gili Asahan

All day at leisure. Enjoy the sun, sea and beach. Rent a bike for the day or take a tour of the island with a cidomo, walk to one of the lounge bars by the beach to enjoy the view and cool breeze. The Gili Lumbung Beach club in the southwest has live music almost every day.

Dag 4 Terug naar Bali

You make your own way (possibly again by cidomo) to the harbor to take the boat back to Bali. Arrived in Bali you have a joint transfer to your hotel.

The Pearl Beach Resort is located on the lesser known Gili Asahan in the South of Lombok. This Boutique and Eco Resort is also the only hotel on this small island which is surrounded by white beaches and beautiful coral reefs. The hotel has Spa facilities where you can book a massage, a library, a reception, a restaurant which overlooks the sea and free Wi-Fi in public areas. Bleu Mathis - Gli Asahan

Het in 2023 geopende Beu Mathis is zo'n beetje het pareltje van Gili Asahan. Alle villa's hebben natuurlijk uitzicht op zee. De Coconut villa's liggen iets verder weg van het strand, terwijl de Panoramic villa's op een heuvel zijn gebouwd met, jawel... panoramisch uitzicht. Er zijn ook enkele familie villa's en sommige van de villa's beschikken over een privé plunge-pool. Hte hotel beschikt over een open restaurant, zwembad en organiseert snorkelexcursies. The small island (Gili) Asahan is located in the southwest of Lombok. A real bounty island with only a few resorts. You walk around the island in 2 hours. You will not encounter traffic, because there are no roads on the island. There is a small village with about 10 families.
