Day 2 Trekking to Wae Rebo

After an early breakfast we start the approximately 4 hour trek to Wae Rebo, situated at an altitude of 1,100 meter. The start of the trek goes through the jungle and after more than an hour we make a stop at a small stream with some pools, where you can freshen up. Then we go on towards the next resting place 'Pocoroko' with a beautiful view over the sea. The last part is really in the mountains and you can already see Wae Rebo far away. You will get a warm and festive welcome and have lunch with a local family. The whole afternoon you are part of the daily life of the local population. You also have dinner with a local family, where you spend the night as well. (very simple: you sleep on a bamboo mat, there is no fan or AC).

Day 3 From Wae Rebo back to the civilized world

After breakfast you say goodbye to your host family and walk the same way back as yesterday, downhill this time. Lunch will be served at the same lodge and your driver will then take you to your hotel in Labuan Bajo or Ruteng.
