Roundtrip 16 days Java by train

Round trip 16 days Java by train

During our new train journey on Java you can visit the various highlights along the way, such as the old harbor in Jakarta, the Art Deco buildings and angklung music school in Bandung and of course also the Borobudur temple and Bromo volcano. At the end of your trip you can take an (optional) trip to the turtles in Sukamade or extend your trip with, for example, a beach holiday in Bali.

Java has an excellent rail network where you can travel comfortably from one place to another. It is a fast and sustainable way of traveling with some trains even more luxurious than those in Europe. There is air conditioning and catering on board and your seats are reserved, which is useful on the longer train journeys. One of the well-known Indonesian expressions is Jam Karet, which means "rubber time", which means that not everything always leaves or arrives on time.

With the exception of the transfer upon arrival in Jakarta, you can arrange how to get from the station to your hotel or from your hotel to the station. You can use a taxi for this and ask the hotel to take you to the station. Would you rather have this arranged in advance? Then that is of course also possible!

If you book the Borobudur, the Bromo excursion and the Sukamade excursion in advance, you will have a car with driver at your disposal on site, which will then take you to the next one.
At the end of the trip, you can travel from Kalibaru to Surabaya or Banyuwangi to fly back home or continue to the next destination. You can also travel to Ketapang and then cross over to Bali by ferry to experience a few days of beach and culture.

Of course it is also possible to make the trip the other way around. You then start from Bali or Surabaya and travel by train along the highlights to Jakarta. The program is a guide, you are free to decide for yourself what you want to do per place, but you can also book the described day trips in advance. To and from the station is standard, with one exception, on your own,

When you travel with a guide, he has your full attention and explains the country and its customs. He will also arrange taxis for you on site and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
